Heating and AC Gemach – Under Temporary Management
The Heating and AC Gemach, founded by R’ Yehuda Shomer z”l and previously run by Coby Solowitz, is now under temporary management by Chesed.Shel.Henel Gemach while we work to secure a more accessible location in Squirrel Hill or Greenfield. This Gemach serves the Greenfield and Squirrel Hill communities of Pittsburgh.
As we transition and take stock of available inventory, we ask for your patience. If you need a unit, please refer to the listing below.
We are especially in need of donations of working air conditioner units, particularly portable AC units, to meet the urgent demand during this heat wave. If you have a unit to donate, it will go directly to someone in need.
We are also looking for volunteers who may be available, if needed, to help collect units from Braddock and deliver them within the community—and return them when no longer needed.
